The Catch-up Entry

I am now what people call a bum. YAAAAAAAAAY! 😀 Hooray hooray! Thesis is COMPLETELY over. College is over. March nalang! Grad shoes?

Catch-up… Catch-up… Catchup… Catchup… Ketchup.

Justin Stripes from Trunkshow

Got these flats from the St. James Bazaar. Didn’t buy them only for the name, I swear! I didn’t even know. Coincidentally, Justin the person was also sporting stripes that day.

The next ones are a couple of the things I got from Hawaii. Thank you!

Gray Suedette Boots from Forever 21

How cute is the poodle keychain? Also, Justin brought back M&M’s!

Coconut M&M’s! I’m assuming that you can only get them in Hawaii like those Macadamia Hershey’s Kisses. Another assumption.

Remy Zebra and Bebe Yellow from Trunkshow

These sandals I got from Trunkshow Glorietta. Too bad they didn’t have most of the styles I wanted 😦 I guess it was also a good thing since I was forced to only buy 2 and Remy Zebra was Buy 1 Take 1! My friend Kayette got the same pair.

Violet and orange satin dress from Envy

I hope I got the brand right. I bought this together with my Trunkshow sandals. It looks so cute on. I was choosing between this and the violet/mustard version. I have yet to wear it! The ribbon looks better tied at the back.

Are these the cutest wedges OR WHAT!!! I got them 70% off with an additional 15% discount on the discounted price! Did you get that? Basta what a steal! They’re so cute in person and I can’t wait to wear them! They’re sooo much lower compared to my other heels. Possibly the lowest out of all. But definitely one of the cutest! I love the color,  the bow detail, the way the bow drapes over the shoe. So dainty. It’s so Barbie! It’s from VNC, by the way.

Way off topic but I’m trying to download The Walking Dead #80 but the download won’t start! 😦 I’ve been waiting for this issue for what feels like several months now! Is it even really out already? Oh well, I’ll just reread issues 1-79.

Many weeks ago, when I was done with all TWD issues, I downloaded the Watchmen  motion comic chapters 1-12. It bore the heck out of me. Maybe because I just finished reading TWD which was CRAZY. Crazy isn’t even enough. It was intense. CRAZY INTENSE. So that’s probably why I found Watchmen boring. I’m still going to finish it, for sure. But right now, I need my zombies.

Another exciting thing… SINULOG FESTIVAL! Everyone was at the MassKara festival and even more will be at Sinulog and I am so excited! I probably won’t be able to sleep tomorrow. Here’s an excerpt from the Sinulog website:

“The Sinulog festival is one of the grandest and most colorful festivals in the Philippines with a very rich history. The main festival is held each year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to honor the Santo Niño, or the child Jesus, who used to be the patron saint of the whole province of Cebu (since in the Catholic faith Jesus is not a saint, but God). It is essentially a dance ritual which remembers the Filipino people’s pagan past and their acceptance of Christianity.

The festival features some the country’s most colorful displays of pomp and pageantry: participants garbed in bright-colored costumes dance to the rhythm of drums, trumpets, and native gongs. The streets are usually lined with vendors and pedestrians all wanting to witness the street-dancing. Smaller versions of the festival are also held in various parts of the province, also to celebrate and honor the Santo Niño. There is also a Sinulog sa Kabataan, which is performed by the youths of Cebu a week before the Grand Parade.

Aside from the colorful and festive dancing, there is also the SME trade fair where Sinulog features Cebu export quality products and people around the world flock on the treasures that are Cebu.

Recently, the cultural event has been commercialized as a tourist attraction and instead of traditional street-dancing from locals, Sinulog also came to mean a contest featuring contingents from various parts of the country. The Sinulog Contest is traditionally held in the Cebu City Sports Complex, where most of Cebu’s major provincial events are held.”

This weekend, we will bathe in Filipino culture!
